Eyebrows are the most happening thing in the beauty world at the moment.
Who wouldn’t want a set of eyebrows like Cara Delevinge or Neelam Gill? It seems like the days of the thin pencil line eyebrows are gone, but despite the rise in hair growth in this facial feature, these brows still need maintenance. So which service do you favour for brow maintenance?
Tweezing
This is by far the most common means of getting rid of eyebrow hair stragglers, and can most readily be done at home. The easiest way to do this yourself is to pencil in your ideal shape and then tweeze around the coloured area. But be careful not to overpluck. Pulling out too much hair too frequently can lead to hair follicle damage and prevent hair from growing again. This tends to be the most time consuming and painful means of hair removal added to the fact that it is difficult to achieve brow symmetry with this method.
Threading
This method of epilation allows for detailed eyebrow definition, letting you get really close to the very fine hairs. Fortunately, hair doesn’t need to have much growth length on it to be threaded, and there is very little trauma to the skin.
Waxing
This technique gives a more lengthy period of eyebrow hair regrowth. It also helps with thinning out heavy growth in the eyebrow area over time. However, be careful of damaging and inflaming the skin in the brow area. Hair, however, needs to be a certain length before it can be waxed, but overall this tends to be the quickest and less expensive method of hair removal if done through a salon.
Shaving
This is the quickest method of hair removal however, shaving will only remove the hairs on the surface of the skin and so the regrowth of hair to this area is within a matter of days. There is the possibility of hairs growing back thicker than before, and the chances of cutting yourself are great. The accuracy of this method of eyebrow hair removal are also not on a par with any of the previous methods and shaving off more hair than you intended is a strong possibility.
Permanent Makeup and Maintaining your Eyebrows
For people with no eyebrow hair, through over plucking, auto-immune illness, hormonal imbalances, heredity or compulsive hair removal, permanent makeup offers a means whereby you can have the appearance of hair in this area on a permanent basis. Maintaining the brow hair surrounding the permanent makeup mask will not require much effort at all.
The majority of people who do have permanent eyebrow makeup, still have some eyebrow hair and still need to maintain the growth of the hair in the brow area. However, this process is a lot less involved and expensive than no permanent makeup brows. There is the advantage of not having to maintain the shape of your eyebrows as the permanent makeup already gives the ideal template for which hairs need to be removed and which hairs need to remain. On the off-chance you do happen to over pluck an area of the brow, the permanent eyebrow makeup template remains intact. All you have to do is wait until the hair grows back in that area.
